Job Responsibilities

Malmö Neptunigymnasium is looking for a school nurse with a strong commitment to students' learning, health, and development. The school nurse's mission is to assist the school with medical and nursing expertise at all organizational levels and to contribute to school development. The role includes working towards a well-functioning student health service to support students' development towards the educational goals. The main job responsibilities are to:

Conduct health visits with health surveys, health conversations, and health examinations
Follow up on control students
Document in Prorenata
Arrange school doctor appointments
Follow up and support students and guardians in case of student illness/functional impairment/absence
Assess vaccination status, offer and perform vaccinations
Provide basic healthcare interventions
Collaborate with the student's guardians, school staff, other healthcare providers, and external authorities
Participate in the school's interdisciplinary student health team
Work with health education at both individual and group levels
Contribute to the organization's systematic quality work

Qualifications

Requirements:

Licensed nurse
Further education in either pediatric medicine, school nursing, or specialist district
At least two years of experience as a nurse focusing on children and/or adolescents
Good insight into the school's goals and quality work
Good digital competence
Very good Swedish in speech and writing

Meritorious:

Good experience collaborating with other authorities and participating in various networks
Knowledge of Prorenata

About the workplace

Malmö Neptunigymnasium is a new high school that offers you a close connection to working life. The school offers four programs: the healthcare and nursing program, the social sciences program, the natural sciences program, and an introductory program, all leading to higher education eligibility. We have workplace-based learning in all national programs, at least one week per academic year. This makes our education something truly special. At the start of the school year in autumn 2024, the number of students is approximately 500, and we foresee that this number will double over time.
